“Venom (2018)” Movie Review

Venom is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures, in association with Marcel. It stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom and Riz Ahmed as Carlton Drake/Riot. This was based on two comic books, Venom: Lethal Protector and Venom: Planet of the Symbiotes. This, by far, was one of the best Marcel movies of all time, in my opinion.

Journist Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is trying to take down Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed), the notorious and brilliant founder of the Life Foundation. While investigating one of Drake’s experiments, Eddie’s body merges with the alien Venom, leaving him with superhuman strength and power. Twisted, dark, and fueld with dan rage, Venom tries to control the new and dangerous abilities that Eddie finds so intoxicating.

This movie really knew how to be a good stand alone movie. It took one of Marvel’s most popular anti heroes of all time, and made him work so well in a movie. There were a lot of anti-hero movies before; Ghost Rider, Blade, Elektra, Deadpool, The Punisher and The Wolverine, but none of them are as awesome and breathtaking as Venom. The script, special effects, and score were great, and no matter how crazy things got, it was still able to be a good anti-hero movie. Tom Hardy was the best as Venom, and he added the right amount of monsterous, alien that is a lethal protector of Earth. The movie, itself, was incredible. Now, I’m looking forward to the future of Sony’s Marvel Universe.

I’m going to rate Venom:

5/5 Stars (A+).
